Trail Rides

Enjoy NYEC’s 775 scenic acres of Hempstead Lake State Park. Groomed and manicured trails provide the most beautiful scenery along 9 miles of dedicated bridal paths. Ride around beautiful sand beaches and enjoy the leaves changing colors around the 5 beautiful lakes, ride along side rolling hills of Hempstead Private Country Club golf course. Enjoy the wonderful terrain & capture views of the turtles, eagles, and bunnies enjoying nature at its finest. Come alone or bring all of your friends and family. Spend a day in Hempstead Lake State Park and enjoy fishing, kayaking, tennis, basketball, soccer, and BBQ at the picnic areas, plenty of parking. All trail rides are escorted by professional, trained trail guides. Riders must be at least 13 years of age or older. A younger rider can go on trail if they are participants in one of our programs & approved by staff.

Recommended Riding Attire: Sneakers or boots, riding pants or jeans that aren't too tight are advised. We advise men to wear form-fitting underwear.
